I love psychological thrillers and horror movies. The suspense, the twists and turns, the shock and sometimes gore make scary movies the most exciting films to watch for me, and hopefully you too. That’s why I decided to build this site, a one-stop-shop for finding upcoming movies, the latest DVD releases, reviews, trailers and all the info you need to find your own personal scariest movie ever.

SME’s Scariest Movie of the Month: Paranormal Activity
SME Review: This is a love-it or hate-it kind of film as evidenced by the Amazon reviews. For me, Paranormal Activity is not scary in the slightest until the very end, however, the number of people that surround me that think it is very frightening have forced me to put it in the top spot for now. It was shot in the “Blair Witch” style, staged as a documentary, and plays on our fear of the unknown, the things we can’t see that may or may not exist. We watch first-hand as a couple deteriorate when paranormal events begin to happen in their new home. These events begin to happen more frequently and become more frightening as the movie progresses. It’s definitely worth watching if you haven’t seen it, Paranormal Activity provides a fairly unusual view and premise for modern scary movies. Many will find it a very haunting film and worthy of a place on your DVD shelf or hard drive.
